For You is an exhibition of 10 Palestinian artists from Gaza shown across two venues, Tenthaus and Podium, in collaboration with the Visit Vestbredden Festival, a cultural “occupation” of Akerselva in central Oslo. The project is an extension of the Artist-to-Artist project initiated by artist and filmmaker Ayman Al-Azraq and Shareef Sarhan, founder of the Gaza City-based Shababeek Art Center.

All the artworks in the exhibition are for sale and 100% of the profits go to the artists.

Beyond the means of an ordinary exhibition format, this project aims to encapsulate the ever-changing and urgent present by showcasing recent works from ten Gazan artists in the context of their current realities under occupation, genocide, and its aftermath. “For You” is a testimony of now. Every day, minute and second, the world as we know it is changing, steadily unmasking the violent conditions that have underpinned our world for decades. The project hopes to remind us of what is at stake, with witnessing, acknowledging, remembering and being as operative modes against a cultural propaganda that seeks to make us forget our humanity.

This exhibition is a celebration of memory, resistance, and love.
